We are pleased to unveil the latest addition to the Munro meteorological range – our all-new Data Acquisition System.
This replaces the traditional IM175 and IM176 roll chart recorders, providing users with real-time data in both graphical and numerical form. Designed for use with a range of different meteorological and environmental sensors, but particularly suited to the IM147 and WS150, the Data Acquisition System displays and records measurements on a 5-inch (12.7 cm) colour screen for rapid inspection. Data is then exported to a local computer via Ethernet, where our powerful software stores and processes the information, allowing for detailed analysis of the variables for auditing and research.
The Data Acquisition System has a built-in MATHS function, meaning the user can easily programme the maximum, minimum and average measurements (amongst others). It also has alarm functionality for when safe levels are exceeded.
The Data Acquisition System can detect up to six analogue inputs (both mA and V ranges) and, optionally, may be used as a MODBUS master device for up to 54 smart sensors.
The instrument can be cabinet-, wall- or desk-mounted and is protected to IP54 standard. Weighing only 3.5 kg, it is also extremely light.
The new Munro Data Acquisition System can be used as an alternative to the IM175. However, existing users of the IM146 Wind Speed & Direction Sensor will be required to retrofit their sensor (by replacing the magslip with a magnetic encoder) in order to make it compatible.
