Conditioning TRL(55) Rubber Sliders

Before carrying out any testing, it is important to condition your rubber sliders. The conditioning procedure is designed to eliminate variation in results arising from small differences in the rubber slider. When conditioning TRL(55) Rubber Sliders, one should use P400 Paper and Green Lapping Film.

Pendulum Verification with TRL(55) Rubber Sliders

Once the Portable Skid Resistance Tester has been set up, Float Glass, Green Lapping film and a Conditioned Pavigres Tile should be used to verify the equipment. These test surfaces should produce Pendulum Test Values (PTV) which falls within a set range. This process provides assurance that the instrument has been set up and is functioning correctly.

Please Note:

The TRL(55) Rubber Slider meets the requirements of BS 7976-1:2002+A1:2013, BS EN 13036-4:2011 and the UKSRG Guidelines.

Rubber Sliders have a 12-Month Shelf Life. Each Rubber Slider is supplied with a date stamp and a certificate of conformity stating the date of expiry. Once a Rubber Slider has expired, it should be replaced immediately. Rubber Sliders must also be replaced once there is more than 4mm of wear on each side of the rubber slider.
