Cup Anemometer
The IM124 Cup Anemometer is an industry standard for wind speed assessments. Requiring no external power source, it generates an output signal that is directly proportional to the wind speed.
In operation it is mounted on a mast or in an elevated position. It has an internal 2″ BSP thread for direct mast mounting. Three tapped holes are incorporated into the casting, enabling the anemometer to be mounted above a Munro IM145 Wind Direction Vane.
The IM124 Cup Anemometer is ideal for use on cranes and offshore rigs and in ports, harbours and shipping terminals. It is capable of providing several decades of service.
The IM124 can be used in conjunction with the IM124A Wind Speed Dial Indicator and/or IM613 Digital Alarm Box. These can be positioned in crane operating cabins or tower control rooms away from the sensor itself. The IM124 can also be used with a compatible data logger.
