Conditioning 4S(96) Rubber Sliders

Before carrying out any testing, it is important to condition your rubber sliders. The conditioning procedure is designed to eliminate variation in results arising from small differences in the rubber slider. When conditioning 4S(96) Rubber Sliders, one should use P400 Paper and Pink Lapping Film.

Pendulum Verification with 4S(96) Rubber Sliders

Once the Portable Skid Resistance Tester has been set up, Float Glass, Pink Lapping Film and a Conditioned Pavigres Tile should be used to verify the instrument. These test surfaces should produce Pendulum Test Values (PTV) which falls within a set range. This process provides assurance that the instrument has been set up and is functioning correctly.

Please Note:

The 4S(96) Rubber Slider meets the requirements of BS 7976-1:2002+A1:2013, BS EN 13036-4:2011 and the UKSRG Guidelines.
