  • Pendulum Operator Training: Munro provides training for individuals and organizations to competently operate Pendulum Testers, promoting consistent and accurate slip resistance assessments.

The Pendulum Test is a slip test that measures the friction of a flooring material.  The machine works by essentially modelling the mechanics of a real pedestrian’s foot in a real slipping situation. Key strengths of the method are that it is portable and can be used in the conditions that real slip accidents happen.  Using Pendulum slip testing we can measure slip potential of both dry, wet and contaminated flooring.  This slip test is the UK HSE and UKSRG preferred in-situ slip test method and as such is the only method to prove to authorities, insurance companies and lawyers that you have provided a safe floor environment.
